WERNICK’S DISHONEST CAMPAIGN

FALSE ATTACK MAILINGS

Every campaign attack Barry Wernick has made has been false. Wernick photo-shopped a Facebook post to make it look as if Jaynie Schultz had supported riots. His campaign manager claimed it was done by a previous campaign manager who was fired. But then Barry mailed again and again.

DECEPTIVE ABOUT VALLEY VIEW

Barry Wernick lies, saying that during her tenure on the City Planning Commission Jaynie Schultz wouldn’t give the Beck Ventures a free sewer line. But the Planning Commission, made up of citizens, has no authority to give away free sewer lines.

Developer Beck Ventures is delaying the Valley View project. Due in part to incompetence and incomplete demolition of the mall, they incurred $400,000 in health and safety code violations and squandered $37.5 Million in City economic support.

Despite countless city incentives, Beck Ventures never follows through. Instead, the Becks gave Barry Wernick $10,000 in campaign money and hosted a fundraiser at the Beck family home.

With no major development experience, it's obvious Beck Ventures is determined to delay the Valley View project then flip the land once prices rise. Just like their project in Deep Ellum, in which they were sued for “their failure to make a go of the redo.”

CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Additional conflict of interests exists between the Becks and Barry Wernick.  United Texas Bank, owned and operated by the Becks, awarded Barry Wernick a $20,832 Payment Protecting Program forgivable loan in May of 2020 and then another $20,833 PPP forgivable loan on Jan 22, 2021- right before Barry kicked off his campaign.

GRAPHIC COMICS DEPICTING VIOLENCE & TEEN SEX

Barry Wernick’s best-known accomplishment was writing graphic novels about teens and sex and violent killings. But based on his political mail, Barry has not given up writing unbelievable fiction.

TARGETING THE ELDERLY

Wernick led a scheme called Global Ventures which was really just a prepaid credit card processing operation that customers called a

scam. Meanwhile, Wernick had to be sued to pay his own $33,000 credit card bill.
